DEF LEPPARD Members To Answer Fan-Submitted Questions
September 30, 2011Over the past few months, DEF LEPPARD fans have sent in hundreds of questions for the band through Live Nation, and after selecting more than 20 of them, it is now time to see the guys give their answers.
A posting on the official DEF LEPPARD web site states: "Over the entire month of October, we will reveal one question per day (except on weekends) by posting video clips of Joe [Elliott, vocals] and Phil [Collen, guitar] filmed at their respective homes, answering questions about the current music climate, their goals, why Joe is always tied up in their videos, the loss of Steve Clark, the band name (yes, even that!) and much more."
The first video, addressing certain aspects of the band's songwriting process, will be posted on Monday, October 3.
DEF LEPPARD performed a medley of "Rock Of Ages" and "Pour Some Sugar On Me" on the September 14 season finale of the NBC variety competition "America's Got Talent".
Five shows on the DEF LEPPARD/HEART summer tour were rescheduled due to the death of Joe Elliott's father. The trek reconvened on July 27 at Cincinnati, Ohio's Riverbend Music Center.
Recently released is DEF LEPPARD's CD/DVD set, "Mirror Ball: Live And More". The concert collection which is the band's first was recorded during DEF LEPPARD's 2009 tour, entered the Billboard 200 album charts at No. 16, hit No. 7 on the Rock Albums chart, and debuted at No. 1 on the magazine's Hard Rock Albums chart.
